Despite the spread of broadband, bandwidth is still an important consideration, so we try make sites as compact as we can — our entire site fits comfortably on a single diskette.

We respect the user's time and intelligence by controlling visual gymnastics: we don't think viewers — or customers — want to play Find the Link or be made to feel incompetent.
